Born on the Floating island, Knuckles has lived there all alone for a long time, But when the Chaos Emerald was taken by Dark Manic, he had to leave the island to find it. He found it in Knothole, under the Care of Sonic Hedgehog. After a small fight, Knuckles returned to the Island with the Emerald.
Later he invited Sally and the gang to the Floating island because she wanted to see the Emeralds and the island but has since leant not to let ANYONE near them at any cost. He know Guardians them alone with Fellow Echidna, Tikal.
