Dreams Come True- DCT
If you want to claim you are a Sonic fan, you need to have heard of these guys, Dreams Come True, the Band behind some of the much loved Sonic Music, but the Band's fame doesn't stop there. Here is some information on them.
DCT first started in 1988 in Tokyo, Japan, where singer Miwa Yoshida teamed up with a Bassist Masato Nakamura and childhood friend, keyboard player Takahiro Nishikawa. After playing in Tokyo for a few months, they recorded there debut album in the Uk. 'Dreams come true' was release in March 1989 and become an million selling album, as did there following 10 Original Albums since then. Around the Time, Masato Nakamura become the Sound Producer and Composer for a game in production 'Sonic the Hedgehog'. The 1990 DCT tour was then the perfect ground for the first debut poster of Sonic. In 1992, Nakamura returned to Sonic and did the Composing for that game was well. At the time, DCT released their fith album 'The Swinging Star' become a big hit and sold more than 2 million copys in it's first week of release and was for several years the most popular album in japanese music history with over 4 milion copies sold in total.. In 1993, one of there biggest hits, 'Winter song' (from the single, which had the English version of Sweet, Sweet, Sweet (named 'Sweet Dreams') as the B side, and later appear on their 14th Album, released the 7th January 1994), was the openning theme for the Hollywood Movie 'Sleepless in Seattle' starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.

The following year, they had a Number 1 hit with Earth, Wind and Fire Star Maurice White with the song 'Wherever you are'. At this time, Miwa Yoshida released a number of singles as one half of the duo 'Funk the Peanuts'. In 1998, the toured in North America and release an English language version of 'Sing or Die'. Yoshida had sung in English a number of times and it is pretty hard to tell she is not a natural Speaker. She developed a love for the rhythmical music when, as a child, she listened to US Armed Forces Radio, remembering that she was mesmerized by legendary jazz singers such as Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan.

In 2001, they become the first Japanese group to sing for a Disney Movie with the song 'Crystal Vine', which was used in the Ending Credits of the film 'Altantis' and appeared as a bounse track on the 2001 album 'Monkey Girl Odyssey', which is there 11th Oringal Album. In 2002 They toured Japan on the '2002 Monkey Girl Odyssey PP-mix' tour. Only a Month after this tour, in March of 2002, Takahiro Nishikawa announced that he was leaeving the group to pursue a Solo Career. Months later in October, he was arrested on assault and drug charges.
